Gaz Coley

Hi Folks,

I’m Gaz Coley – please let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I’ve been a cartoonist for over twenty five years specialising in social commentary and relationship cartoons.

I’m currently a freelance cartoonist and caricaturist producing the Daily Gaz online to a loyal fan base while designing and delivering cartoon and caricature workshops for children and young adults to schools and colleges in London and the East of England.

However during my time as a cartoonist my work has appeared in numerous publications like the Guardian, Private Eye, The Voice newspaper and New Nation newspaper. Recently one of my cartoons on President Barrack Obama featured on the famous American news network CNN. I have also worked for many businesses helping them to add a little humour to promotional campaigns, newsletters and presentations.

Regarding my caricature services, you find me at plenty of festivals, carnivals, birthday parties and corporate events, providing a laugh and a smile.

Unlike many people in the creative industry, I have a corporate background. This has allowed me to readily translate my client’s needs into artwork they are happy to use.

The range of my experience is extensive and covers all aspects of cartoon illustration. I am also working on a range of cartoon based children books to help young adults tackle the tricky issues of growing up in today’s world. I’m an author in my own right with ‘Marlon Du Bois the New Black Man and have written for British Comedian Lenny Henry’s BBC television sketch show, ‘Lenny in Pieces’.
